I love old buildings, the detail and workmanship is incredible. When The Hotel Highland was built-in the 1930′s it was a one of a kind and with all modern hotels in the area today it kind of still is. The hotel is small, only 63 rooms but even with all the renovations thru the years the character remains. We found these pictures from the Pickwick Hotel and we have updated them and will be putting them in some of the rooms. I think they are fabulous!! What do you think?

Last night on The Food Networks Iron Chef Birmingham’s Chef Chris Hastings of Hot and Hot Fish Club beat Bobby Flay! This is one of my personal favorite places to eat and I always recommend it to anyone staying at The Hotel Highland. The Shrimp and Grits are my favorite and Doughnuts with Chocolate Mousse, toasted coconut and Coconut ice cream is DIVINE!! If you have never been Hot and Hot is located at 2180 11th Court South and is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 5:30p.m. to 10:00p.m. Again, Congratulations Chris!! We love Hot and Hot and we are very proud of your win!
